pure afghan strain

Pure Afghan

Pure Afghan is a 100% indica landrace cannabis strain from Mazari Sharif mountains in Afghanistan, exclusively distributed by DNA Genetics and now available at Alchimia Grow Shop.

This indica marijuana strain, sold only in regular form for mother plant lovers or home breeders, directly comes from the afghan mountains, to ensure authentic and fresh seeds.

Pure Afghan is used to grow in altitude, presenting a compact structure and early flowering, so it matures before weather turns too cold.

Thus, only 7 to 8 flowering weeks are enough to harvest from 450 to up to 550 grams/m2 of resinous buds, which will be a delight for indica strains and cannabis concentrates lovers.

A pure Balkhi landrace strain from the hashish heartland of northern Afghanistan, a crucial centre of cannabis culture and biodiversity.

This is a resinous and heavily branched landrace strain with intense aromas ranging from citrus and lime to pine, sandlewood, and burnt rubber. Semi-dwarf expressions be found in this landrace, with almost spherical architecture. Leaflet-width can also vary from broad through to narrow. Northern Afghan landraces cannot be easily categorized according to Western preconceptions about Indica- or Sativa-type strains.

As with all resin landraces, expect to find chemotypes ranging from THC- to CBD-dominant, as well as other cannabinoids such as THCV. This landrace differs from the very large strain sold by Real Seed Co as Mazar-i-Sharif. Highly recommend to breeders. Essential for collectors.

NOTE: A recent test on three exceptional plants from a small grow of this accession in New England showed THC levels ranging from 14% to 24%. This would be highly unusual for a pure first-generation landrace hashish cultigen. It’s not yet clear what explains these results, but collectors should be aware that one explanation for such high THC levels is that this population may have been affected by introduced hybrids. That said, though unlikely, it’s not impossible that this is an exceptionally potent Afghan landrace.
