Best way to eat fondue! – The Melting Pot

#1 best for speical occasions, check out website for special meal deals or events (usually cheaper and get more for your money)
#2 be sure to make a reservation.
#3 can go for just dessert but I love their appitizer & meal courses too much not to make a full night of it.
I have attended their Murder Mystery Dinner and was one of the winners, the one i attened ws the first one so they were a little “off” their game but opening night for something like that who wouldn’t be nervous. they still did great. Best for couples and adults.

My wife and I have been here several times and tried it several different ways. When it is just the two of us we opt for the privacy in the back in a private booth.

Food overall is decent but to me this is more about environment and slow dinning. My wife LOVES The Melting Pot. I think it is OK. They do have a very nice staff and do a good job but it doesn’t necessarily fit my personality. Still, I can’t give them bad marks for this. It is definitely an experience. This would be perfect for anniversary dates, valentines, etc.

Plan on staying up to a couple of hours and try to prepare ahead. They do stay busy. Occasionally they offer a Groupon so it’s not a bad idea to search this.

I personally have no problem with Gluten but they do offer a Gluten free menu.

The Good:
* Good to Decent food
* Romantic, take your time eating
* Fondue eating/ cooking is definitely a hands on experience and can be very enjoyable
* Good place for conversation over dinner. Just cooking at the table alone adds to the conversation and adds to the overall enjoyment.
* A good way to earn brownie points with your significant other if this sort of thing is interesting to them at all.

The bad:
* Block out some serious time for this. This is both good and bad for me. My wife and I don’t go out often (younger kids) so when we do we try to squeeze in as much as possible. On the other note, this is also a plus because we get to talk without the monsters around.
* Busy, Busy, Busy. Make sure you call and plan ahead. This bodes well for the establishment but at the same time mandates you prepare to eat there.
* Pricing is a little on the high end. Keep in mind this isn’t the typical establishment so they do have overhead other places do not have. Regardless, if you’re looking for just a cheap night out this probably isn’t the first choice. You truly do pay for the experience and it’s not a bad deal, just not a cheap, quick Friday night out.

Overall:
We are long time paitrons and will continue to return when my wife gets all doe eyed! I do not have any major issues with The Melting Pot. It is overall a good experience with a nice staff and good food.
