Award Winning Chocolope, which was originally named D-Line, is a novice grower’s dream plant! With a uniquely heavy yield and large heavy nug’s, she is extremely easy to grow. This sativa heavy plant likes to grow tall so beware if space is an issue, however she can grow out with a little training.

We chose to cross our Original Chocolate Thai female with the Cannalope male, and then started backcrossing this to achieve a shorter flower time and still retain some of the Original Chocolate Thai qualities. What makes this strain so special is that when you enjoy her you taste that chocolate you’ve been missing from the 80’s! The Chocolope is the “ONE”! Not much haze, but you don’t need it.

Multiple Cannabis Cup winning strain with more than 10 awards that you need in your DNA collection.

Chocolope

Review

Dutch growers created Sativa-dominant Chocolope (originally known as D-Line) by crossing the Chocolate Thai and Cannalope strains and their work has been well rewarded by three placings at the annual High Times Cannabis Cup. This popular weed came second overall in 2007, third overall in 2008 and then went on to take second place in the competition’s Sativa section in 2010. High Times writer Donny Danko also chose it as one of his top 10 weeds of 2007.

The weed has a somewhat skunky odour tempered by tones of citrus fruits. When you smoke it, you’ll detect hints of coffee and chocolate. This potent weed will give you a euphoric mental gearshift as soon as it hits. Inexperienced smokers should tread carefully as its powerful intellectual impact can be shocking to the uninitiated. In medical use, Chocolope is recommended for poor appetite and muscle pain.

This Sativa plant grows tall and lanky with its many sidestems branching outwards and bearing lots of dense buds covered in orange and red hairs. THC content is up to 20 percent.

Grown indoors, Chocolope seeds do well in hydro or soil and favour a SCROG set up, allowing you to train the lengthy branches. Flowering time is eight to 10 weeks and you can expect yields ranging from 400 to 500 grams per square metre.

Outdoors, Chocolope seeds can grow tall and may need supporting. Plant the seedlings when the risk of frost has passed. Assuming this is around the end of April, the plants should be ready for harvest by mid-October.

To conclude this Chocolope review, cannabis gourmets love it for its chocolate flavour and experienced smokers enjoy the potent cerebral rush this weed delivers. Newcomers to growing choose Chocolope for its ease of cultivation.
